hooray! New Studio!

At last after 7 years of waiting I’ve got a new studio ! Can’t wait to have most of my stuff out of the house and my loom saved from the garden!!

Not quite sure how I’m going to afford it but I’ll just have to chase those potential commissions! ( I have a few) tapestry portaits in the potential pipe line!

Any way I’d better get on…

 just desperate to tell you!

nearly finished!!!!!!

Hurray nearly finished ,it always seems slow this bit but I’m nearly there!
I really am pleased with it…its one of my most tricky portraits yet!
thought I’d also show you the threads  bought from the handweavers gallery which is a specialist shop in london.
These are singles hand dyed linens and are just to dye for literally! they are beautiful to work with and I love using them in my portraits.

make make make finish!

today i;’m sort of wean free so I’m going to try and finish my portrait tapestry and design at least one scarf.

purples and blues I’m thinking.I looked at the pantone prediction site for colours in the autumn and it was a bit of an eyeopener! So many predictions to choose from and all similar to an extent but different!

i’ve got so many half finished projects..I need to make a stance to myself and get things finished off! Then I don’t think I’ll be in so much of a guddle!

As alwauys I never seem to get a full day… there is always something to do out with making…today there is the nice distraction of my neices birthday party………..
