Cover me over with light in leaves

This tapestry was woven with a specific site in mind. I knew the quote I was going to use as soon as I walked into the room, it was a bedroom which was dappled with lead light the atmosphere was soft and almost mesmeric. I wanted to create a piece iof work that was painterly and created depth.. I also wove it mainly in linens as they are cool and gentle, but can be strong and vibrant when need be. The golds used were old metalic golds that will age with the work and a lurex gold that ws lighter specifically for the word ‘light’. Other colours were added, blues and pinks which are to resemble the higher planes of thought, that transpire when you look into the tapestry deeper and your mind wanders off into memories of being in woodlands and surrounding yourself with green calm light swaying gently in the breeze.
